23 June, 2021.

The Governing Council of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) adopted the IARC Medium-Term Strategy for 2021–2025 during the Sixty-Third Session of the Governing Council, which took place on 17–18 May 2021. This Medium-Term Strategy seeks to position IARC as the leading global cancer authority, promoting scientific excellence and improved knowledge of cancer prevention.

The Medium-Term Strategy sets out IARC's priorities for the period 2021–2025, with a view to ensuring that the Agency's activities have a significant and sustainable impact on the global burden of cancer and, ultimately, on the life and health of the world's citizens.

Regarding to EMF, it mentioned that "IARC will also continue to perform research on the impact of exposures to wireless communications, seeking to establish whether heavy mobile phone use can cause brain tumours." (see P.35)
